About Craftmanship & Quality

OUR QUALITY UNDERSTANDING

Functionality, stability, durability, a coherent understanding of price & performance and ultimately sustainability are important criteria for product quality and the basis of our business idea.

HOW WE WORK & WHERE IT'S MADE

All the steps from disassembling the barrels to the finished wine barrel products are elaborately and conscientiously carried out by hand. All our products are made in Ohakune, New Zealand.

WORKING WITH OAK BARREL WOOD

On a stave, NO side is flat! They all have an angle and curves. When working on them, we try to keep that original shape and the angles as best as we can. It would be easy to just cut straight and then make it straight on all sides, but to work with those angles, we need special tools and additional time for sanding. So, therefore, much more time goes into each piece of wood art.

CUSTOM ORDERS & SPECIAL REQUESTS

We are happy to change existing products according to your wishes or realize your personal idea.

We also supply restaurants, bars or other businesses who want to spoil their customers / employees with something special.

DELIVERY & PICK UP

Please ask us for special prices for bulk orders. You are also very welcome to pick up your goods in Ohakune. Maybe in combination with a great outdoor weekend in this great all year-round holiday destination. 😊

Our definition of colouring

All the Barrel parts (Staves, rings, heads) have been cleaned gently and all the nails, dirt (outside) and the wine stone (inside the barrel) has been removed with special, environmentally friendly solvents.
